Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sellona's website at connect.sellona.com and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Sellona Is — and Isn't

Sellona is a private technology platform connecting homebuyers, mortgage lenders, and real estate agents. Sellona is not a real estate brokerage, mortgage lender, law firm, or financial advisor. Every transaction happens directly between you and the other party outside of Sellona, under their own professional licenses and obligations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. Lenders and agents represent that they hold all required licenses in the jurisdictions where they operate.

3. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account. Sellona uses passwordless, email-based login links.

4. How the Platform Works for Each User Type

Buyers create a search profile. Buyers' real name, phone, and email are kept private and never shown to agents or lenders without the buyer's explicit action.

Lenders access a feed of buyers in their service area. A free account allows browsing; a paid monthly subscription is required to unlock full contact information for matching buyers.

Agents post short, anonymous descriptions of upcoming or off-market properties. Agents' real name and brokerage are visible to buyers viewing their pitches.

Sellona does not independently verify NMLS IDs, real estate license numbers, or other credentials. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of their professional credentials.

5. Lender Subscriptions & Payments

Lender subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe at the price displayed at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund prior charges, except where required by law.

6. Fair Housing

Sellona prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected under the Fair Housing Act or applicable state and local law.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or credentials; post a pitch for a property already publicly listed without disclosing that fact; attempt to identify another user without their consent; or use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harassing purpose.

8. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Sellona a license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Platform.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sellona does not guarantee that any buyer, lender, or agent will complete a transaction, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sellona and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or the Platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Sellona is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
